Home Made/Recipes: will add recipes as we try them

  • S’mores: (web images) a must have when there is a campfire available, for fun and that smooshy good feeling. I am not much for marshmallows, however I am pretty good at browning them.
  • Oatmeal, the main stay for camping and hiking—keeps you regular icon wink Family Site Food

    • roma tomatos

Packaged Food

  • Hot dogs: are always a great filler when camping. I like the beef Wranglers with sauerkraut and ketchup on a bun. They taste great over an open flame.
  • Hamburgers

Water

  • Its always a good idea to bring your own water, even though developed sites usually offer potable water (drinkable).

Alcohol

  • Beer can be fun, and I like to enjoy 1 or 2 under the open sky. Be aware of dehydration in the desert though. Always keep well hydrated, especially in the desert. There are many types of desert climates and much to learn about it.
